About This Site

I am Jessica. I am a 33 year old trans woman dealing with High Functioning Autism, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and dysphoria. I had a really rough upbringing and a past full of situations I cannot speak about here, and the reality is I still struggle with it to this day. But rather than hide it away, I reckon it is better to share my story to give others a bit of a hand.

I spend a heap of my time taking cracking photos of the ocean, the bush, lakes, and nature reserves. Americans call it the forest, and even though I was born over there, I do not really click with the locals. Communicating differently causes a few headaches, both because of my dialect and my autism.

When I am not out in nature, I spend my time coding in dead silence. I cannot do the traditional office thing, and a standard 9 to 5 job is just out of the question as it is way too bright and loud. I require a bit of assistance in my life, but I mostly manage alright on my own. I also navigate the physical world a bit differently. My depth perception and stairs are a terrible mix. I absolutely need handrails at new buildings or on any steep steps.

Despite those hurdles, I built this Unified Switchboard right from my quiet space because I know exactly what it is like to do it tough and need support. I wanted to build a site that respects sensory needs and neurodivergence, offering a dark mode, dyslexia friendly fonts, and a layout that is not too full on. You are not alone, and I hope this switchboard helps you find the support you need.
